Excellent location, very spacious room, with great view to the valley, quinta da regaleira and Biester Palace. The style of the rooms and the hotel are more modern, rather than traditional. Some improvements can be made, to improve the aesthetics, such as painting the building for example. However, it is a very decent hotel, clean, with friendly staff and in the best location to my opinion. Both palaces mentioned above were also in walking distance. Just a minute walk from the Sintra Palace and all the restaurants and tourist shops. And also few minutes walk from the bus stop for 434 and 435 buses, that take you to other places such as pena palace. 15min walk from the train station ( best to take 434 and 435 from there, to my opinion, as it is the starting point). On the way back I took a taxi because my luggage were heavy and there was a part where the road was quite steep. However, that's the case everywhere in Portugal. I would definitely choose to stay there again if I visit Sintra.

The location was absolutely the best in the very center of Sintra and a little off to the side. We chose it because it offered on-site parking and 24/7 front desk staffing. We were driving from the Algarve and not sure how late we would arrive. Originally, I wanted a more boutique hotel but was happy with our choice. Our room was spacious and had lovely views. The bathroom was fairly large. While we had to pay for parking, it was easily available under the hotel back entrance… a real plus with a car in Sintra. Elevator service provided access from the garage to reception and check-in. Breakfast was very good with lovely views. The hotel had a nice lobby and bar area. Beds were fairly comfortable. Most importantly, individual temperature controls for the room worked well during a heat wave!!!

Property was clean and it’s proximity to Central Sintra could not be better! I arrived late, and there was no food to be found, except by the amazing Bar staff – Diogo and Hugo. Those two made my short stay amazing. They cut up fruit for me to tide me over till the morning. We shared stories and many laughs in a very short! They really connected with me as a guest! Professional, extremely courteous, and hilarious! Do not lose these employees, because they make the hotel great! Couldn’t say more other than to give them a raise which, hopefully if you share with them, they will probably tell their boss “I told you, so!” Hopefully she gives them one!! (and they did not put me up to this - LOL!). in hotels, and I recognize great talent when I see it.

The location of the hotel is its strongest point by far. The property itself is not in the top shape, but it is more than decent with very comfortable beds, clean rooms, spacious newly refurbished bathroom and a good size balcony with a view of the National palace. It is located right in the center of Sintra, which is very convenient for all the sightseeing and shopping and restaurants, but might be awkward getting Uber to pick you up, because the streets in the center can be congested. All in all, a great spot for exploring Sintra, I would love to return and would choose the NH Hotel again. The strongest point of the NH Hotel are the staff, everybody was very kind and helping.

Superb view of Sintra from room 804. Room had a large terrace overlooking Sintra towards the castle. The hotel was next door to the Royal Palace. Many of the Sintra sights were an easy walking distance. Other sights, such as the Pena Palace, could be reached by TukTuk, bus or taxi. Excellent breakfast at the hotel. A buffet with a wide choice and also egg dishes made to order. A large secure car park is available under the hotel and reached by a lift straight into the hotel.
