The location is perfect to walk to many of the sights, or if you want to take a bus, they are a few minutes walk round the corner. Also the train station is only about a 10 minute walk away. There are loads of shops and restaurants in the area, all in walking distance. We found quite a nice small friendly restaurant, I think it was call the Bristol, by the Ale Hop shop. It was a really nice place to eat and drink, prices were fair and the staff were really friendly and informative about the area. The hotel was lovely and clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jaco (?) He worked in the bar area and was really kind, friendly and helpful when I was extremely ill for 2 days. On arrival I was disappointed that I was allocated a Double room, despite emailing several times in advance, and even a few days before my arrival, to request the importance of a Twin room as I was travelling with my son. However, the situation was dealt with quickly and professionally by adding an extra single bed next to the double bed, which was fine. Our room had a very nice view of the valley and we could see the castle on the hill, which was lit up at night, and Pena Palace. We also had a little balcony, but unfortunately the weather was not kind, and we didn't get the chance to sit out on it. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of fruits, juices, bread, jams, cereal, meats, milks, pastries, teas and cooked breakfast. However, we only had orange juice, tea, Cornflakes and my son enjoyed a few pastries most days, as we are not into a big breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower and toiletries. Overall, we had a wonderful time, despite the initial room mix-up, my illness and the weather, and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff, and especially Jaco/Jaoa (?) for his kindness.

Where else but Sintra NH could you stay right across from a National Palace? When booking ask for a room with a view to the National Palace and high up. We were on the 8th floor and could see everything, including the iconic chimneys lit up at night. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had a small balcony. The bedding was equally comfortable. There was great storage, including in the bathroom, with room for toiletries for two ladies. Good mirrors too. The location of the hotel is right in the town centre so you can walk to everything, including restaurants, shops, two Palaces and the tourist bus stops. The breakfast was good and the staff really friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The hotel has an absolutely supreme location just steps from the main Sintra square. It is a 10-15 min walk from the Sintra train/bus station (up and down the hills). All the centrally located shops, bars and restaurants are within a 3 minutes walk. We were allocated at a room which had a corner position, was very large and overlooked both the valley and the square. Nothing can top having a coffee at this location! We strongly recommend it. The front desk staff was highly professional and extremely kind. The entrance lobby has a more of a 5-star feel than expected. The Bar had most amazing view of the valley and the Moorish castle above - that was stunning!

The location was incredible. We decided to stay in Sintra to have two days to explore at a slower pace and see a few more things than you can squeeze in for the average day trip. It was the best decision. The staff were incredible - I mentioned in passing to give the nicer room with the better view to my parents as it was their 50th anniversary and when we arrived back to the room that evening there was a surprise waiting for them. It was thoughtful, unexpected, and very lovely. The breakfast was excellent - the breakfast room was busy but excellently managed and the large enough so the flow of people wasn't causing waits.

The staff were incredibly helpful with everything and this made our stay unforgettable. Thanks to them, we pre-booked all tickets and time slots and had everything ready the next day. And Pedro went above and beyond to help finding a charger for our EV! We left the hotel fully recharged! The hotel itself is pretty much in the center of the city and they give you a QR code to drive into it when you ask upfront (it's restricted for regular cars but as hotel guest you get privileges). The view from the balcony is also nice. And walking through old Sintra once the daytrip tourists left is quite charming.
