The locaation is great - only 2 minuttes from the main square in the historic center. It's a failrly new hotel with all the modern amenities, although it was odd that they weren't able to provide a queen-size bed, and instead gave us 2 single beds. It was a good-size room, and the bathroom also was a good size. Very quiet, with a small balcony looking up the hiil to the mansions. Paid on-site parking is a challenge to get to, but a real good amenitiy in such a touristed town. wifi/internet was great. Breakfast was standard offerings, and OK - nothing to rave about.

The location is perfect to walk to many of the sights, or if you want to take a bus, they are a few minutes walk round the corner. Also the train station is only about a 10 minute walk away. There are loads of shops and restaurants in the area, all in walking distance. We found quite a nice small friendly restaurant, I think it was call the Bristol, by the Ale Hop shop. It was a really nice place to eat and drink, prices were fair and the staff were really friendly and informative about the area. The hotel was lovely and clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jaco (?) He worked in the bar area and was really kind, friendly and helpful when I was extremely ill for 2 days. On arrival I was disappointed that I was allocated a Double room, despite emailing several times in advance, and even a few days before my arrival, to request the importance of a Twin room as I was travelling with my son. However, the situation was dealt with quickly and professionally by adding an extra single bed next to the double bed, which was fine. Our room had a very nice view of the valley and we could see the castle on the hill, which was lit up at night, and Pena Palace. We also had a little balcony, but unfortunately the weather was not kind, and we didn't get the chance to sit out on it. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of fruits, juices, bread, jams, cereal, meats, milks, pastries, teas and cooked breakfast. However, we only had orange juice, tea, Cornflakes and my son enjoyed a few pastries most days, as we are not into a big breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower and toiletries. Overall, we had a wonderful time, despite the initial room mix-up, my illness and the weather, and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff, and especially Jaco/Jaoa (?) for his kindness.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our whole stay. Great recommendations, directions, and current information on areas closed due to recent weather event. Breakfast was an excellent start with many delicious options too! Lovely views from every window, perfect location being just steps from the bustling center (nice for a quiet room but right there when you wanted to be part of things). Next to the National Palace which was fun to tour. Would love to return some day!

We took our doggie pet with us and there was no fuss whatsoever from the staff. The room was comfortable and spacious, we felt at home. It is located at the heart of Sintra old centre, which enabled us to walk and discover the beautiful Sintra centre. Provided more days, we could easily have been on a number of excursions. We shall have to come back and take a ride on a carriage or in an old car or take an excursion bus, if they accept dogs.

Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel, the rooms are spacious and lovely. The restaurant and breakfast room have gorgeous views of the valley and palaces/villas in the hillside. It is opposite the National Palace, which is well worth visiting. Sintra is a super place to visit with historic houses, a sculpture museum and an excellent modern art museum. Thank you to the helpful and friendly reception staff and to the bar and restaurant staff for looking after us so well. The apple and cinnamon embellished gin was excellent!

I stayed for 1 week in the hotel, and even not using all the amenities it had to offer i can say that it is a perfect stay specially for families, groups and even solo travelers. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Amazing staff, always ready to help and engaging, only good things about the restaurant too. The location of the hotel facilitates trips in the beautifull town of Sintra and there is easy access to the train station 10 minutes walking from the hotel.

The location was incredible. We decided to stay in Sintra to have two days to explore at a slower pace and see a few more things than you can squeeze in for the average day trip. It was the best decision. The staff were incredible - I mentioned in passing to give the nicer room with the better view to my parents as it was their 50th anniversary and when we arrived back to the room that evening there was a surprise waiting for them. It was thoughtful, unexpected, and very lovely. The breakfast was excellent - the breakfast room was busy but excellently managed and the large enough so the flow of people wasn't causing waits.

Where else but Sintra NH could you stay right across from a National Palace? When booking ask for a room with a view to the National Palace and high up. We were on the 8th floor and could see everything, including the iconic chimneys lit up at night. The room was spacious and comfortable and we had a small balcony. The bedding was equally comfortable. There was great storage, including in the bathroom, with room for toiletries for two ladies. Good mirrors too. The location of the hotel is right in the town centre so you can walk to everything, including restaurants, shops, two Palaces and the tourist bus stops. The breakfast was good and the staff really friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Good hotel in the very center of Old Sintra. Good restaurant for breakfast. Good restaurant for lunch/dinner. Nothing sophisticated, but good enough. We had dinner/drinks two of the three nights we were there. Both times on the balcony overlooking the mountains.

The hotel has an absolutely supreme location just steps from the main Sintra square. It is a 10-15 min walk from the Sintra train/bus station (up and down the hills). All the centrally located shops, bars and restaurants are within a 3 minutes walk. We were allocated at a room which had a corner position, was very large and overlooked both the valley and the square. Nothing can top having a coffee at this location! We strongly recommend it. The front desk staff was highly professional and extremely kind. The entrance lobby has a more of a 5-star feel than expected. The Bar had most amazing view of the valley and the Moorish castle above - that was stunning!
